Five businesses, a day of shooting, proper food and a bit of friendly fire between friends, with bragging rights up for grabs.
Never picked up a shotgun? Even better. Guns, cartridges and instructors are all sorted. You just turn up and take aim.
The format
Each business brings four people, and Ansons Law adds one gun to make a team of five, competing against four rival teams for the title.
How the day runs
- 9.00am Arrival, breakfast and registration
- 9.45am Welcome
- 10.00am Shooting in five teams, with guns, cartridges, clays and instructors provided, and a refreshments buggy on the round
- 1.00pm Drinks
- 1.30pm Two-course lunch
- 2.30pm Prize giving
- 3.00pm Close
Up for grabs
- Best team: the top team on the field
- Top Gun: the steadiest eye of the day
- Last team: the wooden spoon, worn with pride
- Clay conservationist: for whoever lets the most clays fly free
